FIRST ALERT: More rain and storms overnight and throughout the day on Monday Wes Wyatt © Provided by Birmingham WBRC First Alert Weather 9p 7-18-21
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) - THE NEXT 24 HOURS: A rainy and stormy pattern continues across Alabama tonight, with clusters of showers and storms tracking east across the state. Even with the loss of daytime heating, wet weather will linger past midnight. In fact, we could hear a few early morning rumbles. I would plan for lots of rain and storm activity on Monday. Forecast data shows a good coverage of showers and storms in the morning, so plan for the possibility of wet roadways. No severe weather is expected, although any storms that develop could produce locally heavy rain, intense lightning, and gusty winds. More showers and storms can be expected throughout the afternoon and evening.
